I was lucky enough on this day to get a tour of local legend Matty Gould’s favorite gravel roads around the north of Canberra.
Taking in some brilliant bike paths along the way, I stop at the beautiful Sutton bakery and a tour of the champagne gravel found in Mulligans Flat and Goorooyarroo Nature Reserves.
A nice and relaxing tour of the northern gravel roads of Canberra with plenty to see along the way.
– We started this ride from Sweet Bones cafe in Braddon which is accessible from anywhere in Canberra
– The one and only lunch stop is in Sutton at the 21km mark of the ride where there is an amazing little bakery
– 39% of this route is gravel which is all very smooth with much of the rest of the route on bike paths and quiet roads
