While 87km and 1400m doesn’t sound too tricky, make no mistake, this is a tough days riding.
It’s not so much the accumulation of the vertical metres, it’s more how it presents to you – in the form of super repetitive steep gradients early on in the ride.
Another tricky task is navigating the remoteness of the ride as you won’t see a town, food or water until the 74km mark which can be tricky in QLD’s humid conditions.
Aside from the challenges, The Dirty Boonah is an absolutely spectacular days riding on wonderfully maintained roads, immersed in the beauty that is The Scenic Rim Region of QLD.
