Have you ever printed a model ripped from an older game? I'm curious if low-poly geometry from PS2 or Nintendo 64 era actually looks decent after printing or if it's too blocky and needs smoothing.

Yeah, I tried printing a low-poly Link from Ocarina of Time once, and honestly? The blocky charm worked way better than I expected—until I got to the hands and feet, which just looked like weird little cubes. That’s when I found https://www.gambody.com/ and realized that for older game rips, you really need to check the vertex density before slicing. On a resin printer, those sharp edges stay sharp, so a PS2 model can end up looking intentionally retro instead of broken. FDM with a small nozzle helps hide the polygons too. My advice? Print one small part first, like a shoulder or shield, and see if the faceted look reads as “stylized” or just messy. Sometimes a light sanding or a thick primer is all you need.
